Dental insurance


I signed up for their dental insurance mostly because one of their agents started showing up at my office EVERY DAY, getting in the way of business. Sure, I was shopping for dental insurance, so he showed up at a good time, but I probably would have gone elsewhere if he wasn't constantly getting in the way of business and just would not leave. Stupid decision, but a decision I made nonetheless. After a couple of months, I found better insurance, so I decided to cancel. First of all, they post cancel. So while I canceled on the 10th of July, they told me I'd still get charged through the 5th of August. Fine, I can handle that. After talking with a couple of different customer service reps, I was slightly worried. There's a sense of confusion that comes through when talking to them. So a couple of weeks before the 5th, I called to make sure it WILL be canceled on the 5th and I WILL NOT be charged again. I was assured I wouldn't be. Well, I was. When I called, the service rep was, again, confused. She told me to get in touch with my employer because they were still taking money out. My employer is in NO WAY involved with this. Aflac is taking the money out directly out of my bank account. I asked to talk to a manager and there were none in the office yet. Which is great. So the rep told me she'd pass my information on to the refund department. Who will then "make a decision and let me know in writing" in 3-5 days. They'll let me know in 3-5 days whether they will give me back the money they essentially stole? Cool. I did ask for a manager to call me. We will see how that goes.
